OOTD: Summer in Provence

SUMMER IN PROVENCE

Summer in Provence

I am always excited to spend my summer in Provence. Who wouldn’t right, with the perfect weather and beautiful country side nothing beats summer in Provence. My husband and I always has our annual road trip and this time we decided to explore Provence. Provence is not always about lavenders, plus you need to be there at certain time of the year to be able to see  the vast purple field. Too bad we were two weeks early, however you can visit wineries and visit some roman’s architecture. So on this particular day we stop by Pont Du Gard, one of the most beautiful aqua duct from the roman empire’s era. I was in awe on how advance the roman’s engineering technologies were at that time, this aqua duct was built in between 40-60 AD, it’s a piece of architecture not to be missed if you ever plan to visit Provence. There are plenty of impressive roman architectures in Provence, there is also the antique roman theatre in the city of Orange where they still use up to this day.

SUMMER IN PROVENCE

To celebrate this glorious summer day, I have the urge to wear my brightest outfit I could find, that when I’ve decided to put on my favourite yellow dress from one of my favourite french brand Comptoir Des Cottonniers, I’ve always loved their simple yet girly design. Pairing it with my H&M chunky necklace and Hermès hat to complete my look of the day! The dress has a little safari looking feel and I love the little peplum details. I don’t know why but I am still in love with peplums for some reason.  So let me know what is your dream outfit for summer in Provence?
