Secret Hidden Storage Water under Paris City

Down hidden underground south of Paris city, there is breathtaking water stores with stone arch of pillars like a cathedral. Magnificent blue water refraction glance off every where on the ceiling.

Le Reservoir de Montsouris is the massive underground water storage facility that was built in 1874. At that time it was the largest in the world reserve drinking water to supply the city.

Almost 1800 beautiful pillars and ceiling were built to support 300.000m3 of water coming from Nemour Provins, Fontainebleau and The Val de Seine.

Le Reservoir de Montsouris as one of the fifth water supply and The Best tasting water in Paris. When I found out this story, I really want to see it by my self unfortunately it’s not open for public anymore since 2001 due to security reasons 🙁
