Robert Mapplethorpe, Finding beauty in black and white

Robert Mapplethorpe is one of the master in art photography, his black and white works are simple yet powerful in details. It’s the perfect marriage between art and photography.  It is with great honor that his work is currently display in Grand Palais Paris.

With over 200 works on displayed, the exhibition showcase the real essence of Mapplethorpe works, spanning from his earlier works in 1970’s until his death 1989.

If you are a black and white photography enthusiast, you shouldn’t miss this one of a kind exhibition. There is also an accompanying exhibition Mapplethorpe-Rodin in Musèe Rodin, which explores further how these two artists collide in expressing their favourite theme in different ways yet with so much similarity.
