I know What I did this Summer

During summer holiday the local, les Parisiennes and also most of my friends left the city for holiday to other towns, countries or even back to Indonesia. Well, this summer I decided to stay in Paris enjoyed the city quietly. No traffic, no squeeze each other on the Metro, less polution and the most important is the weather was soooo great!
What I did this summer,

Paris Plage

Paris City Council has many activities during summer time. One of their annual program is Paris Plage where the riverside of the city transform into the beach side. All the way long river banks closed for pedestrian only. There were sandy beaches, deck chairs, play grounds, ice cream sellers, local concerts, volley beach, showers, dancing stage, etc. Paris Plages spreads to 3 different areas, Louvre/Pont de Sully, Port de la Garde, Bassin de la Villette. These photos below has been taken at Louvre/Pont de Sully.
Paris Plage open annually from 20 July lasts until 4 weeks. Open from 8am til midnight and free!

Bateaux Mouches

This Summer I was so happy my relative also came from Jakarta to Paris. As I promised to her I wasn’t just take her around Paris by Metro and bus but I also took her to the excursion boat La Compagnie de Bateaux Mouches to see Paris from The River Seine. I was so glad she love it!
The cruise started from Pont d’Alma and it takes about 1 hour 10 minutes. Nearest metro station: Alma-Marceau.

Nail Polish in the park

Why not having nail polish in the park while enjoying beautiful day in Paris?

As everybody knows Paris has beautiful gardens and les Parisiennes love to spend their time in the garden when the sun goes out. Usually people read a book, sleeping or drinking & eating in garden but this time my friends and I, Ika & Dewi decided to polish our nails in the garden. It was really fun!

Photo location in Parc Monceau Paris. Metro station: Monceau.

Picnic at île Saint-Louis

I love having picnic during summer time in Paris and my favourite time is having picnic at The Seine’s banks with friends while watching some boats passing through, carrying the tourists to enjoy the scenery of Paris from the river. Together with my friends, we chose île Saint-Louis for the best spot at that time. The nearest metro station is M7 Pont Marie.

Isna Darmuis-Menneveux

Always lost in Paris. A fashion observer, food explorer, an Indonesian woman lives in Paris who loves to discover new things and frame it to her camera.
