Gandys X Liberty: Flip Flops With A Cause

Ilove fashion with conscience, so when I heard Gandys flip flops is doing a collaboration with Liberty, I am super thrilled! Gandys Flip Flops is a  brand that I found out through Jamie Oliver’s Instagram about a year ago. The name stuck from that day onwards because Gandys Flip Flops helps support orphans.

Gandys Flip Flops

A little background story about Gandys Flip Flop. This funky company is founded by two brothers Rob and Paul Forkan. They wanted to create something in honour of their parents spirits as they lost their parent to the 2004 Tsunami. They were on holiday together in Srilanka when the disaster struck, the day they became orphans. In remembering the spirits of their parents, they wanted to create something that help others in the developing countries, countries that they visited together with their parents as part of their around the world tour as a family and also later on, just the two of them to finish what they have started with their parents. They especially wanted to help unfortunate children, orphans like them. So one day they came out with this brilliant idea, as they were travelling with their flip flops all over the world they decided to create a flip flop company and use percentage of their profit to build orphanage in honour of their parents. The Orphans for Orphans mission was born and keep on going strong. Gandys flip flops is well supported by celebrities and famous people around the world, Jessica Alba, Jamie Oliver and Sir Richard Branson are just some of their supporters.

You can get them online for £30 from the Liberty’s online shop or from Liberty London Soho Store. Let’s show some support for Gandys and their good cause Orphans for Orphans by adding this flip flops to our summer must-haves shall we? Which one of these do you think I should get?
