Brassaï…Pour l’Amour de Paris

  • Brassai Expo paris
  • Brassai Expo at Hotel de Ville

Paris has always significant exhibition for the artists and this time I went to see exhibition one of the greatest photographers, sculptor and film maker, Brassaï.  The exhibition Brassaï, Pour l’Amour de Paris (Brassaï, for The love of Paris) shows extraordinary photos about Paris in 20th century. His photos tells us about life of Paris during world war period; how the locals live, their lifestyles, prostitutes, lovers, family and nightlife. He also took photos of Paris architecture and city landscapes during day and night time, summer & winter seasons around Arc de Triomphe, around rue de rivoli, la seine, place de la concorde, Notre dame, etc.

What made me amazed was, all these buildings and streets are still exactly the same where they are now! The different only is the people with different dress and the transportation. Paris doesn’t change at all since early 1900! or may be before that!

You must see this!

Exhibition location: Hötel de Ville.
From 8th November 2013 – 8 March 2014
10h-19h, open all days except Sunday & Public Holiday
